Mental-Emotional
Well-Being: Setting Goals

Setting Goals for Mental-Emotional Well-Being

You've now gone through reflection questions to assess your mental-emotional well-being as well as practices for cultivating your mental-emotional well-being.

Based on both the reflection questions and your experiences with the practices:

  1. Where do you feel like your mental-emotional well-being is going well? Where is there room for improvement?

  2. If there is room for improvement… Is improvement in this area of well-being something you want to work on right now? If so…

  3. Get specific: What within your mental-emotional well-being do you want to focus on? Keep the answer simple for now.

Keep your answers to these questions -- we will use them in the Creating Lasting Change section of the course.

Mental-Emotional Well-Being:

  1. Our relationship with our minds and how we do (or don’t) work with our minds

  2. Our ability to cope with emotions and life in healthy ways

  3. Our ability to experience (and create!) positive emotions, moods, and thoughts

  4. Our views of ourselves

  5. How we approach and respond to the world around us
